Jakob manages Milliman’s Excess Suite of Tools, including:

- Excess Pricing Tool (ExPrT) — a flexible but consistent basis for estimating claim costs for a wide variety of health reinsurance coverages
- Emerging Stop Loss Trends — quarterly insights on emerging leveraged trends for employer stop loss
Jakob is involved with employer stop loss and level-funded consulting for carriers, MGUs, and captive managers, covering product development, actuarial functions, and underwriting support. He conducts feasibility, pricing, and reserving analyses for captive insurers with medical stop loss. He also provides actuarial due diligence support for mergers & acquisitions relating to employer stop loss.
